It's been a month since this madness all started, with South Africa kicking things off against Mexico. Now we've waved goodbye--often with gleeful smiles, other times with tears prickling the corners of our eyes--to 30 teams, and what we're down to is this: Netherlands v Spain. The Oranje v La Furia Roja. David Villa v Wesley Sneijder. Which color are you wearing today? And more importantly, which beers have you chosen?

I think it's evident that I'm running around yelling "HUP HOLLAND HUP" and guzzling Anderson Valley Cerveza Crema, but even if you're typing with a lipsth, we'll welcome you here. One of the best parts about today is that, unless an astroid hits the stadium and eliminates both squads, a new nation will have its name on the cup. And that's pretty damn cool.
