All Man-Crush XI
I am very confident in my heterosexuality. I like girls. But there are certain players who...well...I have a crush on. Some strictly skills wise, others who I do find attractive, sort of. But I came up with this idea from the disturbing parts of my mind.
I did realize that I have at least one player to play a full XI. So in a 4-2-3-1 formation, here is my Man-Crush team!
GK-Tim Howard
Being born in the United States means that I am a USMNT supporter. The amount of times that Timmy has saved the team is worth a man crush alone. This Tweet from Aaron says it all.
Left Back-Gareth Bale
I don't particularly like Spurs, but yeah, he's quite good.
Center Backs-James Collins & Alex
Ever since Alex scored that insane free kick in the Chelsea-Liverpool 4-4 Champion's League Quarterfinal, I've liked him as a player. As for Collins...what can I say, I like gingers.
Right Back-Gary Neville
Just kidding.
Right Back-Daniel Alves
Basically, I don't want my team defending.
Center Mid-Marouane Fellaini
That afro does it for me.
Center Mid-Frank Lampard
Lamps has always been my favorite Non-Villan. I know Kirsten will co-sign this one.
Left Wing-Lionel Messi
He's the best player in the world, if you don't have a man-crush on him as a player what are you watching. Also I like legos.
Right Wing-Marc Albrighton
This is a Villa blog, do I need to explain myself. Plus I made this.
Attacking Mid-Thomas Muller
This is the German heritage in me coming out. I would love to see his Mannschaft.....I mean watch him play for the Mannschaft. This is awkward.
Center Forward-Dirk Kuyt
Hawt.
If there any player you have a man/woman-crush on?

I've been being a mature football writer and holding it back.
Plus I’m not entirely sold on my left back but unsure that I want to shift to a 3-5-2 formation.

Ok
GK: Iker Casillas. SO FRIENDLY LOOKING
LB: Yuri Zhirkov: I just like friendly looking players, ok?
LCB: Diego Lugano: Curly haired blond Uruguayans do it for me too
RCB: Diego Lugano’s charming twin brother Archibald: Centre halves are ugly, ok?
RB: Branislav Ivanovic: Gotta get in on some of that bear action
CDM: Michael Essien: He drives me wild
LCM: Florent Malouda: That smile!
RCM: Wesley Sneidjer: I could rub his little bald head
LF: Ashley Young: If I asked nicely enough, would he masturbate for me?
CF: Leo Messi: Oh my god take me now
RM: Fredy Montero: Yes Fredy yessss
I also would enjoy Bastian Schweinsteiger Schweinsteigering all over the place

If I did 3 subs he'd be in it.

We will never speak of this again
Goalkeeper: Iker Casillas
Defence: Gareth Bale, Gerard Pique, Rio Ferdinand, Philipp Lahm
Midfield: Bastian Schweinsteiger, Frank Lampard, Yoann Gourcuff
Forwards: Ryan Giggs, Thomas Muller, Lionel Messi
Ryan Giggs as a forward on a legit team? Interesting… interesting.

Eh…it’s 4-3-3 and he’s a winger. I think he played up behind Rooney a few times last year, sort of like a second striker. Also, this is the least scientific thing ever.

I’m just messing with you a little bit. If you look at my comment below, I’m a giant Giggs fan.

My team
It has been in progress for about a month now.
(Warning: Click open in new tab as I forgot to click the box for a bunch of them and this has already taken me quite awhile)
Goal: Fernando Muslera (Lazio, Uruguay): Hello, penalty kicks. Yes, please focus on Muslera just a little longer, thanks.
Right back: Fritz Clemens (Werder Breman, Germany): A new discovery pulled from the hours spent mulling over Kickette…I’m thinking now is the time to start watching some Bundesliga.
Center back: Diego Lugano (Fenerbahçe, Uruguay): How can you not love that silly face?
Center back: Richard Dunne (Aston Villa, Republic of Ireland): Unusual choice, I admit, but Dunnie’s got that “So ugly he’s actually quite sexy” thing going on. Plus mouthwatering accent. If he can speak, that is. Anyone know?
Left back: Leo Gonzalez (Seattle Sounders, Costa Rica): I feel a bit weird about this one, considering I’ve interviewed the man, but again, shortage of defensive prospects and he looks awfully nice when sweaty.
Right wing: Ashley Young (Aston Villa, England): If he’s going to strip for a web cam, can’t he make an Ash Young flip-calendar? Is that so much to ask?
Midfield: Frank Lampard (Chelsea, England): Fat Frank? Don’t think so. Lamps has me tied to the screen with every Chelsea/England free kick or corner, hoping that I’ll see him do his little quick-step run up, or (please god) lick his lips before taking the kick. It’s an involuntary reaction, ok? And oh goodness me the man looks amazing in the Chelsea aways.
Playmaker: Yoann Gourcuff (Bordeaux, France): The one man allowed to be wearing that ridiculously tight French kit.
Left wing: Florent Malouda (Chelsea, France): Sure, he needs a new stylist, but have you seen this man smile? Makes me swoon. As if that weren’t enough, he has to slay me with his adorable French accent.
Striker: Fernando Torres (Liverpool, Spain): Freckles just barely nudges out Fredy Montero, whose soft-spoken ways and right foot make me want to swoon, but El Nino gets the nod because I can’t resist the freckles.
Striker: Alexis Sanchez (Udinese, Chile): Pocket-sized and more adorable than ’Nando, Alexi has me questioning my allegiance to Napoli. People may say Serie A is boring, but not with this man leading the attack.
