FA Cup Fourth Round: Aston Villa Draw Blackburn. Again.

Que sera, sera? Or will Aston Villa's success against Blackburn in cups finally wear out? (Photo by Laurence Griffiths/Getty Images)

Aston Villa have drawn Blackburn Rovers in a cup competition for something like the nineteenth time running. Does anyone else feel like the Villa are stuck in their own special version of Groundhog Day? Rapid Vienna in Europa League. Blackburn in the Carling Cup. Now, Blackburn in the the FA Cup. Granted, we saw them off easily in the third round last season, a 3-1 victory, but I'm getting quite tired of seeing Rovers. Someone else, anyone else, please? There were at least fifteen possible options for a lower level draw, but no, the Villa face Blackburn. Yes, I'm cranky.

Star-divide

Birmingham City drew Coventry. Lucky bastards. Poor Southampton, down in League One, have Manchester United, but at least they'll get a good gate by inviting United to St. Mary's. Fulham play Tottenham in a London derby. Everton host holder's Chelsea, who took out their anger at having slipped from the Champions League spots on poor Ipswich, scoring seven goals and allowing none against the Championship side.

For a complete list of the FA Cup Fourth Round, visit the BBC. The ties will be played January 29-30, so mark your calendars. You don't want to miss the season's third (but not final) meeting with Blackburn.

What. The. Hell.

Yes, well when I see five weirdo's dressed in togas stabbing a guy in the middle of the park in full view of a hundred people, I shoot the bastards, that's my policy.

It will be a fourth straight Cup win against them

and perhaps two other Midlands teams in the last 16 with Villa? That could be tasty. Everton-Chelsea will be a good game, hope Australia are done in Asian Cup so Tim Cahill is back by then.

I am just a bitter Wizards fan who clings to my bobbleheads and that 2005 playoff series victory!
