Kevin MacDonald Is "Cherished" At Aston Villa

Stay connected for news and updates

Look at that man! No, seriously, look at him! He's a peach! A perfect plum! You can't take away my Kevin MacDonald!

You know, days and days can go by without the name "Kevin MacDonald" ever passing through my consciousness. Sure, sometimes Stephen Warnock yaps about him a bit, telling the world how he helped him keep his head up last season when he just wanted to cry in the corner ... or was that Gary McAllister? MacAllister? Can we please get someone in at Aston Villa who doesn't have a Mc or Mac or O' prefix, please?

Anyway, as I was saying, Kevin MacDonald still exists, and according to Alex McLeish, is a "cherished" member of the first team staff. Everyone remembers that he got promoted to first-team coach, right? He's no longer coaching the reserves? Good. (By 'he' I mean MacDonald. If you're reading this blog, I hope you know who McLeish is).

The reason K-Mac is all over the news right now is because apparently he's been mentioned as a possible replacement for Steve McClaren at Nottingham Forest. Maybe it's because they need another "Mc/Mac" prefix? But AML is none too pleased with this possibility, apparently believing Villa are more important than a club hovering above the relegation zone in the Championship. Well, duh.
