Podcast: West Brom, Bitterness, Eric Lichaj and More

Hey guys, remember me?

Hey, it's episode 3 of the podcast! I wasn't there to host this time, so Kirsten admirably took over those duties. We've got to have someone with a lady-voice helming this ship at all times. More importantly, however, episode 3 marks Aaron's debut in the podcast! If you haven't heard him before, that means you've been missing out on the great work they do on Nos Audietis, the podcast of Sounder at Heart. But now Aaron's talking about Villa. Where he belongs.

And, if you know anything about Aaron, you can understand why Eric Lichaj came up in this one. Hear everyone talk about pronunciation and injuries you didn't know about! Additionally, Aaron, Kirsten, and Gareth recap the loss to West Brom and look ahead to Sunderland this weekend. Alt. scenario

Hopefully he manages to eat Habib Beye before Elfie the Zombie Slayer caps them both.

Imagine

Houllier would have rid the club of all the malcontents probably by now. Things would be so much more interesting. Goddamn your shitty heart, Gerard.

Bringing in someone like Alan Hutton

Is a damning indictment on Alex McCleish. If you aren’t winning then things like what Hutton has done are intolerable.
And let me defend Stoke, they are physical, but I think calling them a dirty team is going a bit far.

Touche

But to be fair, Shawcross hasn’t done anything close to that since.

Is it too early to start talking about a new manager after this season is over?

A perfect description of Ireland's performance

Shitty. Can’t put it better than that.

Stephen Ireland is too much of a homebody

to go out and get smashed all the time. His wife keeps him on a short leash.

Balotelli - He’s nuts but with the upbringing he had (being black isn’t easy in anywhere in Europe, its really awful in Italy) its understandable. And it’s like Kirsten said, Balotelli’s mostly harmless.

The Bluenoses

They are playing fantastic under Chris Hughton, but the fixture backlog with the Europa League will make things very difficult for them. If somehow they got promoted they would have a much harder time staying up because there best player is Chris Wood (on loan from West Brom). I hate to say it, I think I’d rather have Hughton than McLeish.

Paul Lambert!

YES! YES! YES! A MILLION TIMES YES! And Villa could hire him anyway even if Norwich stays up!

Look at Sunderland's record since Bent left

And you can see why they want to strangle him.

Gyan wanted to leave

And basically said that on transfer deadline day so it was too late to sell him and/or get a replacement. Of course the week before he said he was fine. It’s a total nightmare over at the Stadium of Light and Bruce is not long for that job I think.
