Champions League Open Thread: Aston Villa Aren't Playing And We're BORED.

PrintChelsea are in Denmark to face FC Copenhagen, while Lyon hosts Real Madrid on Monday. Tuesday, (EDIT: Kirsten is a caffeine deprived idiot) Manchester United are at Marseille and Inter Milan welcome Bayern Munich in what everyone hopes will be a much more exciting match than last year's Champions League final.
(Oh, and if you need a beer to drink with these matches, I gave a couple suggestions at Free Beer Movement)
Anyone else really tired of having no Villa to watch and no Aston Villa news to read? This is what we've seen so far:
- Stiliyan Petrov won't start every match
- Barry Bannan wants to fight for a starting spot on AVFC
- Kyle Walker ain't coming back (duh)
- Gabriel Milito is wanted by Villa (thanks for the sources, Guardian)
So...yeah. Discuss.

How on earth soccer writers can be bored by Arsenal - Barcelona. I understand not having a rooting interest, but if you write about the sport, it's not possible to find that match boring. If you find it so, time to find something else to write about.
