Fabian Delph's return to Leeds Part 3:
Sorry for the delay guys with the update, but I bring good news.
Basically Delph showed his class once more in the game vs Brighton. His tackling was spot on (I know I can't believe it either).
Some games like I said in my first report, we rely too much on him and although his passing is good, I prefer him as a holding midfielder. He will tackle anyone and on Saturday he proved he was a class above for me.
He started again in the centre of midfield and put his stamp on the game...quite literally. Flying in like a ninja at all times. He broke up Brighton's play and allowed Clayton to roam free going forward. He does try and support going forward but I just think he's much better sitting back and playing everything simple.
One criticism was his marking for their winner in the 91st minute. Poor communication between the midfield resulted in Delph leaving a huge gap for their player to turn and drill the ball home.
He was one of our better players but that isn't hard this season. I've heard a few rumours Villa want him back and fair enough. The move now becomes frustrating, we've got used to him and he's played well and will now return which is a little annoying for us. Hey we can't complain he's been here at least but you get my point. He's picked up some fitness and his speed on the ball has improved due to the competitive nature of the Championship.
We play Coventry tonight which I can't attend but I'll have another update from our game at Doncaster.
And can any of you readers or writers do me a favour...try tempt good old Alex to allow him to stay. I'll appreciate it.

I'd really prefer he stay myself.
He needs some confidence, and it sounds like he’s performing well for y’all. I’d hate for him to come back and find himself back on the bench.
Not extending the loan
Probably has to do with the fact that Simon Grayson was sacked and Villa don’t want him loaned there if the new manager decides not to play him.
I am just a bitter Wizards fan who clings to my bobbleheads and that 2005 playoff series victory!
