Poor Stan Petrov. The Aston Villa Football Club has announced that Stiliyan Petrov has acute leukemia. The club is asking for privacy above all else for Stan and his family during this time. It turns out that Petrov was suffering from a very high fever during the match against Arsenal and had to come off. Apparently it didn't improve much over the course of the week. This article from two days ago mentions that he was struggling to find fitness for the match against Chelsea, which frankly seems pointless and trivial right now.
