Brett Holman Fit To Start Against West Ham

Stay connected for news and updates

Oh come on...of course I took the opportunity to use this photo.

On Wednesday, Brett Holman experienced a crunching tackle from Gary Caldwell in Australia's friendly match against Scotland.* The Aston Villa midfielder ended up limping off the pitch and was substituted at the break, sending everyone watching into a state of panic, largely based on the proximity to the start of the season.

But word from the club is that Holman is fit to face the Irons tomorrow (tomorrow! yay!). Fellow Australian Chris Herd was also pronounced fit to play in Paul Lambert's pre-match presser, although Nathan Delfouneso is still a maybe. Gabby Agbonlahor, Richard Dunne and Marc Albrighton are all still stuck on the injury table.

So, Villa fans, what do you think? If Holman is fit, does he start? If so, where will he be played?

*Alan Hutton was not involved, yet we blame him anyway, simply for being on the pitch.
