Myself like others were totally hooked on that final day "transfer deadline day". I work about 10mins away from Villa Park and I currently hold a season ticket to the mighty claret and blue so transfer deadline day is always special to me as i watch my team try and buy players to improve on the dreadful last season.

I found myself browsing on every villa site looking for the latest transfers and tried to separate the genuine rumours from the Kaka to villa rumours. It was about 10.00am when i received a message from my manager telling me that villa had agreed a deal for Clint Dempsey with Fulham. I was like a little kid at Christmas at the thought of Dempsey playing for Aston Villa. I am a huge admirer of our American "soccer" players with brilliant players such as Brad Guzan (Guzan over Given any day) and Eric lichaj. When Dempsey turned down the chance to join in favour of a move to Liverpool my heart was ripped out and thrown in the bin as always from following my local club.

Ok, so my question is; Which USA soccer player would you like to see in a villa shirt? The reason I ask is because I have little knowledge of soccer in the states but most players that have made it across the pond and played in the premier league have been a success.
