It's a one month loan. Which is fine, really. Better he plays somewhere than nowhere for now.

One Villa fan's letter to Santa. The snark in this piece is right up the alley of the 7500 readership.

"Since his move to Aston Villa, he is now playing deeper and narrower in an attempt to support Gabriel Agbonlahor and Darren Bent. N’Zogbia’s opportunity to dribble at defenders has decreased, as has his shots at goal, passes to set them up, and overall effectiveness."

He has only himself to blame. The article says Collins was arrested too, which is news to me.

So apparently we're getting the ghost knees of Owen Hargreaves and Allan Hutton from Spurs? Well my mind is changed!

See you in the Champions League!

I started searching Paul McGrath videos and ended up stumlbing on this. I want this years team to do this, mainly so Bazza can talk about playing with legos.

It's an article about Villa being in the lead for Parker, but check out the last two paragraphs.

I found Joe Gray on twitter. Like many of us his two passions are baseball and Aston Villa. The UK has a surprisingly rich, if stop-start baseball history. The first pro-league was launched in 1890, and Aston Villa fielded one of the teams. Gray, a Villan wrote a book about that season.

I was in the process of writing a post about how Villa are screwed. Mark Hughes would be competent, but not lead Villa to any sort of greatness and not stop the hemorrhaging of our top players. As I examined his career more carefully my view softened and my post was ruined. Maybe given time and backing he can lead us forward if he is indeed the guy. Still not my first choice.
