A Blog For Aston Villa Fans

There have been rumblings about the future of Liverpool big man Andy Carroll since Brendan Rodgers has taken over at the Merseyside club. Rodgers has plans for Liverpool that don't involve a player like Carroll but apparently Aston Villa's new boss Paul Lambert thinks he'd be a great fit in Birmingham. Could Villa look to bring on Carroll in some kind of season long loan? Would a team of Darren Bent and Andy Carroll work for you? Let us know what you think.

We've had some discussion earlier in the day, with Milan and West Ham thrown around a bit, but the Telegraph apparently think that Liverpool are in the process of finding a place for Carroll for the whole of next season. Not sure how I feel about it--I've got some sort of misguided attachment to the player as I wait for him to come good, and the last few months of the 2011-2012 season, along with his cameos for England this summer, leave me feeling like he's got something to offer Liverpool right now. But if he's able to grow somewhere else for the year and come back stronger, it might benefit both he and Liverpool for the longer-term, which would certainly be worth waiting for. Most importantly, this isn't Clint Dempsey OR biased statistics that are based on facts! Win win! Or not.
